Press Release June 2008

Karma Balm Launching Eco Aware Skin Care Line

June 27, 2008—Bethlehem, NH—Karma Balm launches their Eco-Aware Skin Care line at the Local Works Open Market. The company is raising awareness to environmental issues in its unique packaging and choice of organic ingredients. After July 15th, Karma Balm will be available to retailers and specialty stores.

In a global community that is going “green” Karma Balm’s vowed from the beginning to use the highest quality organic ingredients with Mother Nature in mind. Wrapped in a recycled tied died label a “Seriously Big Lip Balm” is their first product released at the market.

Owner and founder Corey Calaio comments “This is a unique product line.” She has been working continuously on this product development for 3 years and has developed a formula that balances nature and nurture. “Karma Balm products have been created to heal all skin types and disorders while being gentle to the environment.” Olive oil, sunflower oil and rose hip oil infused with healing herbs are the staple of the product line.

“In the creation of this skin care line, I chose olive oil because of its extensive healing properties and ability to soften the roughest skin,” Corey states. She further explains ” Each Karma Balm product is a power house of anti oxidants, anti inflammatories, and super healers.”

The display included informational signs and brochures on “Colony Collapse Disorder”, raising the awareness to sudden disappearance of honey bees in North America. Yet their marketing strategies are not just about” eco-conscious “. Their light heart sales pitch is fun and hip, geared to satisfy people of all ages.

The product line is due to release four new products this summer. This will include a lip balm, healing balm, arthritis balm, and baby rash balm.

Karma Balm will be offering an introductory coupon in their brochures. These will be available at the Open Market in Bethlehem on Wednesdays and most Saturdays through out the summer and into the fall.
